![]() ![]() Once that's over and a contrived speech from Bullock magically makes Michael go from terrible to great at football, we get to see which school he plans to go to. In the first hour you get the whole "charitable rich white woman saves minority from a ghetto". The movie ends and Michael doesn't feel any less of a stranger to this family than he did at the start. He doesn't actually ever really speak to anyone or show any emotion towards them. The closest they come to building a relationship with the sister (Lily Collins) is that she sits on a desk with him to study in silence at school, and starts fist bumping him and calling him "bro". There is no relationship building in this movie except for the one way love from Bullock towards Michael. ![]() A stranger starts living in their house and they act remarkably casual about it as if he isn't even there (except Bullock of course). ![]() There is no credibility that Michael cares about any of these people, or that any of these people care about Michael or care about knowing who he really is and what he has been through. "The blind side" is basically a teenager walking around with little to no expressions for 2 hours. ![]()
